Become a Light for the World

Who are the lights of the world? Those so filled with God, nothing the world offers can tempt them. They shine like stars, and everywhere they go, peace goes with them. Or so says Edward Weiss, author of The Golden Prayer. For Weiss, this means loving God more than the world. A simple proposition, but one many find hard to do, especially later in life. Edward comments

"We all want to feel the love of God, but most of us have been conditioned to pursue the world first, God second or not at all. Here is the problem. The Golden Prayer works to correct this problem. As we pray it, we necessarily put God first. The more we do it, the more our vision corrects until one day we awake, and it is not us that is living our life, but God who is living His life through us.

According to Weiss, by using this 'golden prayer,' we can start to enjoy the peace we desire...

"Our whole lives, we've been trained to put the world first. To be happy in the world. This is the cardinal error as we can never truly be free in the world. We need to know God to be free. More than that, we need to put Him first. Here is the path that leads to peace and freedom. But the path is not easy. This is where prayer comes to the rescue! The more we pray, the more we bring God to mind, the more peace we will have in our lives."

Find Comfort in God's Eternal Presence

Does your heart feel tired?  Beyond the noise, an eternal presence waits for you. It is a stillness that has always been there, steady beneath the heavy burdens you now carry. Entering this hallowed place doesn't require a long journey—it begins with a simple and ancient shift. Here, author Edward Weiss shares how to step into that presence: "There is a profound difference between  trying  to be at peace and resting in the One who  is  peace. If you are tired of waking up anxious and overwhelmed, there is another way. Rooted in ancient Jewish wisdom, this simple prayer offers a way to step out of the storm and into the light of God's constant presence." Try it now:   Close your eyes and whisper the words,  'LET GO, FOR  I  AM HERE' 🍂 Why this practice works: A two-fold movement of the heart... "Let go"  — You release the fears, burdens, and pressures you've been carrying. "For  I  am here...
