Become a Light for the World

Who are the lights of the world? Those so filled with God, nothing the world offers can tempt them. They shine like stars, and everywhere they go, peace goes with them. Or so says Edward Weiss, author of The Golden Prayer. For Weiss, this means loving God more than the world. A simple proposition, but one many find hard to do, especially later in life. Edward comments

"We all want to feel the love of God, but most of us have been conditioned to pursue the world first, God second or not at all. Here is the problem. The Golden Prayer works to correct this problem. As we pray it, we necessarily put God first. The more we do it, the more our vision corrects until one day we awake, and it is not us that is living our life, but God who is living His life through us.

According to Weiss, by using this 'golden prayer,' we can start to enjoy the peace we desire...

"Our whole lives, we've been trained to put the world first. To be happy in the world. This is the cardinal error as we can never truly be free in the world. We need to know God to be free. More than that, we need to put Him first. Here is the path that leads to peace and freedom. But the path is not easy. This is where prayer comes to the rescue! The more we pray, the more we bring God to mind, the more peace we will have in our lives."

Find Comfort in God's Eternal Presence

A worried mind cannot rest.  It's too busy replaying the past or fearing the future. What’s the way out? In his book The Golden Prayer , author Edward Weiss suggests the path to lasting peace is reliance upon God. To find freedom from worry, we must finally let go and let God. Edward has this to say on the topic... "All of us worry, but if we don't intercede, if we don't stop the flow of our thoughts, they can take us over. This is why prayer is such a treasure; it reminds us of what's important—our connection with God. Anyone can use this prayer, based on ancient Jewish wisdom , to move towards the light and find relief." To be at peace:  Close your eyes, breathe, and whisper:  ' LET GO, FOR  I  AM HERE'  🍂 Why it works...  By shifting from exhausting self-reliance to God’s eternal presence , your perspective adjusts instantly. You no longer have to carry the world on your shoulders.  Your problems don't just change; they melt as you view...
